The Nevada brief
Nevada is the state where the quoted price is never the whole price. The annual list is $150 — and the state business license that renews alongside it is $200 for an LLC and $500 for a corporation, so the real yearly floor is $350 for an LLC and $650 for a corporation before the list fee’s share-value tiers even apply. Both are due by the last day of the anniversary month. Nevada’s statutes were read line by line for this hub, because in Nevada the difference between the brochure number and the statutory number is where owners get hurt.

Mail in Nevada
Full mail mirroring is available in Nevada. Service of process and official state mail are scanned to your portal, typically within 24 hours; ordinary business mail sent to your registered office address is mirrored on the same terms, under your mail plan. The physical originals stay on file; a service-of-process item also triggers a phone escalation until you acknowledge it.

Switching your Nevada agent to us
The switch is a relay, not a leap: the new agent is in place before the old one is released, and the change is proven on the state record — never assumed from a submitted form.
Successor filed
The new agent designation goes to the state first. State fee for this folio: $60, at cost.
Read-back
The state record is read back. It must show the new agent before anything else moves.
Release
Only then is the old agent released. Release first, file second — that order leaves the entity with no agent, and it is never run. The shaded node is the no-agent-gap window the relay exists to close.
Instrument: Statement of Change of Registered Agent by Represented Entity, filed with the Secretary of State (NRS 77.340). State fee:$60. State fee per NRS 77.280(1)(a): $60 for a statement of change, read 2026-11-05 in the Nevada Legislature’s official NRS Chapter 77 text.
$350 in state charges: the $150 Annual List plus the $200 state business license that renews with it. Anyone quoting $150 alone is quoting half the obligation.
When is the Nevada annual list due?
On or before the last day of the month in which the anniversary of formation falls, every year. The initial list is filed at formation; the annual cycle starts at the first anniversary.
What happens if the Nevada annual list is late?
A $75 penalty attaches to the list and a separate $100 penalty to the business license. An entity that stays in default faces revocation of its charter and forfeiture of the right to transact business — for an LLC, revocation lands on the first day of the first anniversary of the month following the default month.
What does a Nevada corporation cost per year?
From $650: the annual list starts at $150 and tiers upward with total authorized share value (maximum $11,125), and the corporation state business license is $500.
